Rapheals Fun:)

Every Wednesday, I go to St Rapheals to help out with the men up there its called "Friendship Club" its only a 15 minute walk from the school and usually we sit inside and play games and talk to them about things they did during the day, its so much fun and I really enjoy going up. Yesterday Emma Niamh Niamh and I went up and it was so warm outside! That we had to go outside inside of staying in again. . So we went up to the field and we play chasing and then Shelly came down, Shelly is the women that works there and she helps us aswel, she brought drinks and sweets so we sat around around talking and eating the sweets soaking up the nice weather while we had it! After that she brought down footballs so we kicked them around and tried to score goals, it was such a good day and they all really enjoyed themselves as did I!

Child Watch Ireland (:

Yesterday a man came in from Child Watch Ireland to speak to us about dangers on the internet and how to be careful in who you talk to and who you add on whatever sites you go onto like facebook, twitter etc.. He told us stories about things that he has seen and situations he has dealt with in the past some on them were so scary and hard to beilve that these things really do happen. One fact he told us that stook to me was that 3 children get trafficed every 30 seconds which is so crazy to think of. He told us many facts about how children get involved with these people who are dangerous. He spoke about cyber bulling aswel which is such a huge issue in our world today because technology is such a huge part of out lifes, it was a really interesting talk and im so happy he came in to talk to us about it.

Braveforce..

So yesterday all TYs headed off to Meath to an assult course, it was so hard! So it started off running up a hill which wasnt to bad I suppose, but then we had to litterly drag our bodies through this tunnel and I got kicked in the face which made everything so much better! haha Thanks Emer.. There were rivers and things to climb and jump things to get over and many more other obstacles and it was actually so much fun looking back on it :) but I honestly dont think I would do it again soon, mabye next year :) Im so proud of myself for sticking it out and doing it though.

Work Expierence :)

For my 2 week of Work Expierence I went to a Primary School, I really didnt want to go there because I have no interest in teaching! But after the first day of being with the juniour infants doing p.e, being on yard duty and hearing all the funny stories they had to tell me from the weekend and the lovely staff I couldnt wait to go back the next day. Tuesday was really busy, I was putting up posters and helping to set up the school for world book day and I was busy all day! On Wednesday I went swimming with the 2nd and 4th class and then I went back to the school and listened to a few students read. On Thursday someone from Naas that also coaches the Lenstier team came in to teach the 6th class and he was lovely.  The school was so nice and the students were lovely, Danny the principal always made sure I was busy and had something to do which was so good! Im really happy I spent the week there and it was a really good expierence. At the end of the week I got a thank you card and 20euro from the sectetary and Danny which was so nice! Also they told me I was always welcome back to help them in June because it is such a busy month!
Thats all,
